One of the big benefits of Membership in Coffs Regional Community Gardens is that you can rent a garden plot of your own, if you want, or the meeting and event area.

Garden Plots

Private plots are just $60 a year ($5 a month). You will be given a code to access the gardens any time that suits you – early in the morning before work if that works best for you, or with the kids after school to pick something for dinner. If you don’t have space for a garden at home, or you would like extra area for some space hungry plants, or even if you just prefer the company, renting a plot is a very economical option. Your garden plot is your own, but you will normally find some friendly volunteer who will water and watch it for you if you are away for a week or two. Volunteers are also a wealth of knowledge and experience if you are just starting out.

Weather permitting, the Gardens are usually open every Tuesday, Friday and and Sunday, 9am to 1.00pm. Drop in to see what plots are available and pick up an application form.

The Meeting and Workshops Area

The Gardens include an open air workshop and meeting space. It has a large, roofed area with tables and chairs, a large whiteboard, electricity, a fridge, a gas barbeque, tea and coffee making facilities, , and a composting toilet. There is also a wood fired pizza oven that makes very delicious pizzas and bread.

Members are eligible to book the area for their own meetings or events provided they align with the aims of the organisation and don’t clash with other uses. There may be a small charge. Phone or email us to enquire – you’ll find the contact details under “About”.
