Growing your own food saves you money but saving seeds saves time, money and varieties that have been winners in your garden.
The first of two free workshops starts at 9 am on Sunday 21st July @ Combine street Ccommunity Gardens teaches how to successfully save and store your own seeds
Workshop two on the same day starting at 1 pm is a tasting and talk about bush tucker with indigenous elder Sue Tompkins from Bush Tucker Shack.
The gardens will also fire up the wood fired pizza for some accompaniment of food and education.
Nothing brings people together more than shared food and get prepared for some new taste bug experiences.
The gardens are exploring new ways to adapt and experiences food across many cultures so what better place to start than with Australian native bush food.
So apart from saving money you avoid genetically modified crops or plants grown for commercial success but low on taste. Branch out with food that can be foraged or locally grown that falls outside the European standard fare. Sent from my iPad
