If you’ve ever wanted to know how to make authentic dolmas the combine street community garden are having a Kurdish and Middle Eastern cooking class on Saturday the 16th November.
As part of the garden’s multicultural gardening and food discovery we plan to use in-season ingredients to learn a variety of ethnic cooking.
The day will explore how to use fresh grape leaves wrapped around delicious rice to make Kurdish dolmas. Kurde comes from Iraq and brings her unique cooking knowledge.
She’ll be assisted by Linda Woodrow who has been refining bringing seasonal veggies into their best tasty unique results. The session starts at 9.30 am til 12 noon and is free with a donation.
At noon we’ll fire up the wood fired pizza oven to enjoy the food and social garden experience.
