Chinese cooking
From 9.30 am until 12.30 pm
At Coffs Regional Community Gardens
51 Combine Street
Free
As part of the garden’s multicultural gardening and food discovery we plan to use in-season ingredients to learn a variety of ethnic cooking.
Community gardener and nursing student Aurora comes from a Provence in China that has a narrow growing season, so she knows how to make the best of simple low cost ingredients. The day will explore how to use make authentic dumplings with pork and pickled cabbage, stir fried cucumber shrimp and eggs and several other Chinese dishes using fresh ingredients.
The session starts at 9.30 am til 12.30 with some breaks and is free with a donation.
