Last year, I found that the Coles Dwarf did best, and the Aquadulce got hammered by green fly, though the ladybeetles came to the rescue eventually.  This year I’m only planting Coles Dwarf, and I’m giving them a good watering with my homemade seaweed solution to give them the best chance of fending off green flies.  The climate here in Coffs Harbour is marginal for broad beans – it really likes a cooler climate. But I love broad beans cooked with lemon and garlic enough to persevere.
